  • Description: On a sunny morning, a traveling troupe arrives in a Russian town. Head of the troupe is an elderly man, director Mesmer. A young worker, Nikita, is fascinated by the show, as well as by the charm and finesse of the young actress Alina. A terrible storm strikes the area and destroys the theatrical sets, forcing its members to abandon the town in a hurry. Nikitas starts looking desperately for them, but being broke he stops at a reconstruction site and asks for a job. In the meantime, Alina leaves the troupe and, as if carried by the wind, ends up in the construction site where she meets Nikita. Mesmer, abandoned by all his actors, arrives at the site as well and duels with Nikitas for Alina’s sake. It is an allegorical film on the collapse of the Soviet Union, which came about as an unexpected storm with catalytic results.
